“Dynamics in a flexible supply chain. Mission: Possible!”: Web-Seminar from LogiPlus and aflexio

18 June 2020: LogiPlus and aflexio herald part 2 of the webinar series “The right SCM route before, during and after Corona”.

On 18 June 2020, the second part of a free three-part webinar series by the supply chain and SAP experts from LogiPlus and aflexio will take place. After the first webinar dealt with which planning approaches work for volatile times and how to exploit logistical potential in the warehouse, the second webinar will focus on flexibility in the supply chain as a guarantee of success in volatile times. One focus is on how quick wins can be achieved without additional new investments.

The Corona crisis has ruthlessly exposed the vulnerability of the supply chain. Whether dependencies on globally dispersed suppliers, collapsing supply chains or massive changes in demand. The effects are of an existential nature for many market participants. It is precisely the automation of processes that is now presenting companies with major challenges. While automation, with all its cost and efficiency advantages, has often been seen as a panacea in recent years, it robs companies of the necessary flexibility in volatile times such as we are currently experiencing. Reacting dynamically to unplanned situations is often very difficult.

To support companies in this, LogiPlus and aflexio will shed light on the topic of automation vs. flexibility in the second part of their webinar series. It will take place on 18.06.2020 from 09:00 to 10:00 under the title “Dynamics in a flexible supply chain. Mission: Possible!“.

The first presentation will be given by Martin Pesch, Managing Director of aflexio GmbH. Under the title “Everything back to normal? Everything already over? How to keep your supply chain flexible.”, the aflexio founder elaborates on how dynamics and flexibility in supply chain planning can be combined. Pesch discusses, among other things, which SAP tools are available for managing the control tasks in the supply chain and which potentials can be raised with them.

Dynamising warehouse processes with SAP EWM

In the second part Thilo Matheis, founder and managing director of the LogiPlus Group, will report on flexibility in the warehouse. Under the title “Unflexible in volatile times? Warehouse Dynamization with SAP EWM!” he will present how processes in the warehouse can be made dynamic and flexible with the market-leading warehouse management system.

“Due to the Corona crisis, we are also experiencing enormous challenges in the warehouse, such as massive fluctuations in demand and unstable supply chains. And that also applies after Corona, there will continue to be uncertain times in the future for which one must be prepared,” says the LogiPlus Managing Director, describing the current situation. “This makes it all the more important to design existing processes in such a way that the greatest possible flexibility is also available in the future. And that quick wins can be achieved with the existing systems in a very pragmatic and target-oriented way”, Matheis adds to the objective.

The LogiPlus presentation will also be rounded off by the long-standing partner MALORG. The Managing Director Markus Nave will highlight various aspects from the perspective of the logistics planner.
