What is SAP S/4HANA?

SAP S/4HANA is the latest generation of the SAP ERP system and successor to SAP R/3, and is much more than just an upgrade of the SAP Business Suite. Developed on the powerful In-Memory platform SAP HANA, the SAP S/4HANA Business Suite is designed to be the digital core of all business processes and offers significantly higher performance. It thus forms the foundation for the digitisation of companies.

SAP S/4HANA is characterized, for example, by a simplification of the data model and enables the processing and analysis of large volumes of data in real-time. With the SAP Cloud Platform, the solution offers many innovations and opportunities for customized developments. And the role-based SAP Fiori interface takes usability to a new level. SAP S/4HANA can be operated and used on-premise, in the cloud, or as a hybrid.

Why digital transformation with SAP S/4HANA?

The majority of medium-sized and large companies in German-speaking countries use ERP systems from SAP to control their processes. But SAP plans to discontinue maintenance and support for the previous version ECC 6.0 in 2027.
