4 Best Practises from Intralogistics with SAP

Web seminar on 16.09.2021, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

THE FANTASTIC SUPPLY CHAIN HEROES

Four warehouse processes - four best practices with SAP

For production and distribution warehouses, maximum flexibility, targeted automation, integrated processes and intelligent data are more crucial to success than ever before. The holistic view of all processes in the warehouse is particularly important.

In general, the difficulties are of the most varied nature. Whether increasing customer demands, technological disruptions, new business models, cut supplier networks or cost pressure: the problems are very complex.

In the style of the blockbuster “Fantastic 4”, in which four scientists with different superpowers fight against evil, the supply chain heroes from LogiPlus show how they have impressively “defeated” different challenges in the warehouse. Based on four customer examples, very specific processes and recipes for success are highlighted.

Main topics of the web seminar

Automatic inventory management of returnable products in SAP EWM

Automatic inventory management of returnable products in SAP EWM

  • Customer: Freudenberg Sealing Technologies

One of the biggest challenges in logistics is still the management of exchangeable packaging materials. From the Euro pallet to the small load carrier, the recording is often done manually and generates additional effort. How the management of inventories can be automated and what challenges are associated with this is presented based on the implementation for our customer Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

Hands-free picking to optimise picking performance in SAP EWM

Hands-free picking to optimise picking performance in SAP EWM

  • Customer: CLAAS France

How the use of innovative glove scanners combined with mobile RF handhelds simplifies order picking.

In this presentation, you will learn how your warehouse can be optimised with the help of glove scanners and smart mobile devices, using CLAAS France as an example, and thus become the warehouse of the future. We will also present the advantages of using our LP add-on LP MobileGRAFIX, a graphic design studio for optimising usability. The intelligent combination of smart devices with integrated scanner solutions and LP Add-Ons creates significant added value.

AutoStore: Black box or seamless integration? Ways to a custom-fit SAP EWM connection

AutoStore: Black box or seamless integration? Ways to a custom-fit SAP EWM connection

AutoStore as the leading solution for automated small parts storage can generally be used either as an isolated black box or integrated into the overall system. It has to be worked out individually which approach and which logical interface (task or bin interface) make sense. We will show you what to look out for during implementation. And which advantages it offers not to use the user interface of the third-party system, but the SAP EWM workstation with our add-on LP MobileGRAFIX/UI5. This way, our customers can massively increase usability.

Capacity check on allowed quantity in SAP EWM for non HU-managed storage bins

Capacity check on allowed quantity in SAP EWM for non HU-managed storage bins

  • Customer: DAW SE, Headquarters Ober-Ramstadt, Germany

For many putaway strategies, it makes sense to perform a capacity check for the storage bin when searching for a suitable storage bin. However, the SAP EWM standard only allows the check according to permitted volume or weight per bin, but not according to permitted quantity. However, it was precisely the check as to whether the selected storage bin could accommodate the quantity to be stored that was an important criterion for our customer DAW SE. In this presentation we will show you how we proceeded.
