Papyrus Germany<\/strong><\/a> is part of the Inapa Group, one of the largest European wholesale groups in the paper sector with headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal. In order to have a standardized procedure and platform for the other internationally distributed warehouses in the future, the decision was made to switch to SAP EWM<\/strong><\/a> and LP PoweredEWM<\/strong><\/a> in the long term. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of the SAP roll-out in the two national companies in Belgium (Brussels) and the Netherlands (Nijmegen), warehouse management software also had to be introduced there<\/strong>.<\/p>

After Papyrus had already successfully introduced and operated SAP EWM based on LP PoweredEWM<\/strong> in warehouses in France, the decision was made to rely on LP PoweredEWM in these two warehouses as well, based on the very positive experience. LP PoweredEWM as a fully developed SAP EWM system covered all the necessary requirements. The total project time amounted to approx. 13 months. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The biggest challenge was the increasing warehouse size and the growing process complexity in logistics<\/strong>.<\/p>

Papyrus decided to implement SAP EWM on the basis of the Rapid Deployment Solution LP PoweredEWM in order to meet these challenges. In addition LP MobileGRAFIX<\/strong><\/a> and LP WarehouseCockpit<\/strong> were used to ensure comprehensive and efficient warehouse management. <\/p>

The main benefit for Papyrus was the significant cost and time savings<\/strong> achieved by the Rapid Deployment Solution. This solution also accelerated additional and further developments<\/strong> and was supported by comprehensive project coaching, which led to the successful implementation and optimisation of the warehouse processes<\/strong>. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A special feature of the project at Papyrus was the mapping<\/strong> of the value-added services<\/strong> that take place in the two warehouses. The warehouse employees
carry out system-guided work steps and report the formed pallets back to the system. In the background, the kit-to-order and kit-to-stock orders are acknowledged<\/strong> in parallel and the corresponding bookings are made. The ergonomic interfaces were designed with LP MobileGRAFIX<\/strong>. <\/p>

With the help of a template, SAP EWM was successfully implemented in two other warehouses, which differ both structurally and in terms of work processes. Both locations each have more than 20,000 pallet spaces. <\/p>

Between 120 and 160 tons of paper are stored and retrieved daily in both warehouses, with well over 200 tons at peak times. Accordingly, between 400 and 700 deliveries are made every day, ranging in size from very small quantities to entire truckloads. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
