The CLAAS KGaA mbH<\/strong><\/a> headquartered in Harsewinkel, East Westphalia, is the world market leader in the manufacture of self-propelled forage harvesters and is also the market leader in the combine harvester product group. In the course of optimizing its logistics processes, CLAAS was faced with the question of which warehouse management system was the right one. A major challenge in the implementation of the entire SAP system was the connection of the production supply to a decentralised LES and the integration of the material flow into the complex plant structure.<\/p>

The multi-layered supply of the production lines required the goods to be provided from the warehouse on time and on target. The long routes of the goods from the warehouse to the assembly line were defined in several stages using SAP WM tools, monitored online with RF and the transports were carried out using a forklift guidance system. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As part of the implementation of the high-bay warehouse, the entire incoming goods process was revised and converted to inbound delivery. Only this made it possible to use delivery notifications as a payment advice note. <\/p>

By structuring the incoming goods zone, it was possible to considerably simplify and speed up the identification of delivered goods and the preparation of storage.<\/p>
