SAP is hosting the event on November 14, 2024 SAP Innovation Day Warehouse and Transportation Management. The event will take place at the SAP University in St. Leon-Rot and offers a varied agenda with industry and specialist area-related contributions from SAP customers, SAP partners and SAP.
As SAP EWM pioneers, we will of course be on site with an exhibition stand for participants. We are available for all questions about SAP EWMmigration & transformation, warehouse automation and operational excellence. A joint presentation with our customer CLAAS will be a special treat.
Highlight: Presentation by our customer CLAAS on the global optimisation of production logistics with SAP EWM
Together with Henning Wortmann (Global IT – Team Leader Purchasing & Logistics, CLAAS KGaA mbH), LogiPlus CSO Axel Kunkelmann will give an exclusive presentation entitled “How CLAAS has globalised production logistics with SAP EWM optimised: Rollout Tour 2018-2024”.
By migrating from SAP WM to EWM, CLAAS, the global market leader for agricultural machinery,
has rolled out production logistics at various locations worldwide with different
requirements optimised. In order to carry out the rollouts efficiently, the SAP
EWM experts from LogiPlus initially developed a global EWM rollout
template together with CLAAS.
Participants will gain insights into the strategic direction of warehouse management at CLAAS and learn how the migration and optimisation of production supply at the individual sites in Germany, France, the USA and Hungary was successful. Among other things, the focus was on the integration of automation solutions in SAP EWM, the integration of external service providers into the CLAAS system and the introduction of supermarkets at the production sites.

Migration from SAP WM
and SAP EWM SCM

In February 2020, SAP announced the end of mainstream maintenance for SAP Business Suite 7 at the end of 2027. This also applies to the warehouse management applications SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP WM and SAP SCM 7.0.
- Migration of SAP WM: The SAP WM solution integrated in SAP ERP is replaced by SAP Stock Room Management. Companies with SAP WM are now facing some groundbreaking decisions.
