Jörg Martin, Head of Finished Goods Warehouse at DAW SE, and LogiPlus CEO Thilo Matheis answered questions from Helge Sanden and Maike Rose from IT-Onlinemagazin in the IT-Onlinemagazin Expert Talk on October 10. Among other things, they talked about the goals and challenges of DAW, the implementation, the go-live and hypercare phase and the success factors of this long-term project. Together with SAP partner LogiPlus Consulting, DAW was able to replace the existing warehouse management system SAP WM with a decentralised SAP EWM, expand the inventory warehouse, optimise the material flow with SAP MFS and introduce and integrate automation solutions such as AutoStore or a forklift control system. SAP S/4HANA was then implemented downstream as an ERP system.
