Focus on efficient SAP WM migration

The focus was on specific migration strategies, from greenfield and brownfield to the hybrid bluefield approach, as well as operational advantages such as the use of standardised processes, automation capability and, above all, a significant reduction in implementation time.

A survey conducted during the webinar showed that the majority of participants (around 69%) are planning to migrate to SAP EWM within the next two years. The trend towards modern solution architectures was particularly clear: most companies are currently pursuing the goal of introducing a decentralized SAP EWM system (24%), while around 14% have opted for embedded EWM. In addition, compared to previous surveys, the proportion of those who would like to move to the private cloud with SAP EWM is increasing noticeably. In this survey, it was already 14%. Individual companies are examining the use of stock room management or alternative solutions. It is worth noting that a significant proportion (40%) had not yet made a final decision at the time of the webinar, an indication of the ongoing complexity and the need for sound advice in migration planning.

In the Q&A section that followed, it became clear how specifically many companies are already looking at their SAP EWM roadmap. Questions about the feasibility of template solutions in various industries, the distinction between SAP standard and LogiPlus extensions and the integration of mobile solutions such as LP EasyClient dominated the discussion. Topics such as load securing, system landscapes, Fiori compatibility and LE-based warehouse strategies were also actively addressed by the participants.
