Ludwigshafen, September 16, 2026 – As warehouse automation in the SAP environment continues to grow, a fundamental architectural question is gaining importance: Should material flow control be managed via SAP MFS within SAP EWM, via an external material flow computer, or via a hybrid architecture? LogiPlus Consulting will address this question in a web seminar on September 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. In a session titled “SAP MFS or an external material flow control system? SAP MFS enables the direct integration of material flow control with warehouse processes in SAP EWM. An external material flow computer, on the other hand, forms a separate control layer between Warehouse Management and automation. Hybrid approaches combine both principles. The web seminar compares the different options and highlights the criteria relevant to architectural decisions.

In this web seminar, Marco Guckenburg uses examples such as conveyor systems, high-bay warehouses, shuttle systems, AutoStore, AMRs (or AGVs), and sorters to demonstrate how different project scenarios can be categorised.
