LogiPlus fulfills children's Christmas wishes with a donation to the Ludwigshafen Child Protection Association

Giving a smile to children in need

As part of this year’s campaign, 650 wishes will be fulfilled – carefully selected and handed over in a protected and anonymous setting to avoid stigmatisation. The wishes were organized and selected with great care by teachers and educators who are in contact with the families. For the past three years, the organisation has been carried out together with the Rhein-Galerie Ludwigshafen.

In addition to the cash donation, Managing Director Axel Kunkelmann and Head of Marketing Christian Speck presented Manuela Veredas and the Chairwoman of the Ludwigshafen Child Protection Association, Marion Schneid, with five Christmas wishes from the Christmas wish campaign. They were also given an insight into the diverse and impressive work of the Kinderschutzbund.

Diverse projects for a strong community

The Ludwigshafen Child Protection Association is active in three full-time areas whose personnel costs are covered by the city. The core tasks include

• Supervision and placement of childminders: Parents and childminders are brought together and supported.
• Accompanied contact: Support for families in separation and divorce situations, often on the instruction of the courts.
• Child protection service: prevention and intervention in cases of suspected abuse and domestic violence in close cooperation with the youth welfare office

Volunteers also help to strengthen the community with projects such as resilience courses, babysitting and self-defense training, cooking courses and the youth art school.

The costs for this can only be financed through monetary donations and income from the sale of donations in kind in the Stöberstübchen. The ability to carry out projects relies heavily on the commitment of numerous volunteers – and as in every area, these are currently hard to find.

“The work of the Kinderschutzbund shows impressively how important it is to take on social responsibility and give children in difficult life situations a perspective. Giving children a bit of joy is a matter close to our hearts,” says Axel Kunkelmann.

With this donation, LogiPlus not only wants to support families in need in Ludwigshafen, but also draw attention to the valuable work that is carried out in the background every day. “We would like to thank the Ludwigshafen Child Protection Association for its tireless efforts and wish everyone involved a Merry Christmas,” adds Christian Speck.
