More InformationFreudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) is the global specialist and market leader in seals and has built a new distribution center in Bischofsheim, Germany. The central warehouse is of great importance to the company, as it serves as the hub for supplying customers in Europe and around the world, and a significant portion of the company’s revenue is generated through this central warehouse.
LogiPlus was chosen as an SAP EWM implementation and IT partner because this SAP logistics consulting firm has the substantial scale required to support FST worldwide, while also specializing in warehousing, logistics, and, above all, SAP EWM. For FST, it was important to have a partner on equal footing who is innovative and keeps an eye on innovations and new trends in the market.
In this project, LogiPlus was responsible for designing and implementing all intralogistics processes in SAP EWM. However, this was not the first joint project with Freudenberg Sealing Technologies. SAP EWM had already been successfully implemented in the U.S. Based on our LP PoweredEWM template, a Freudenberg-specific SAP EWM template was created.

As an innovative solution, data glasses are used in a pick-by-vision process in Bischofsheim. We were able to connect the client directly to SAP, resulting in faster and more effective picking.
Driverless transport systems, so-called AGVs, are used in Bischofsheim. They work in the narrow aisle area, but also move pallets from A to B on the floor. We integrated them directly into SAP EWM. They are controlled from there and can be operated completely transparently and used flexibly.
In its projects, LogiPlus attaches great importance to optimum interaction between warehouse staff and the PC. This is particularly evident in FST’s packaging dialog, which we developed specifically for the requirements here. All work dialogs and mobile dialogs are designed to be very intuitive and simple, so that employees are guided through the system with a high level of usability and can concentrate on their actual tasks such as picking or packing.

With the LP PoweredEWM system, LogiPlus uses a fully developed and extended SAP EWM system in the project. Our customer receives a fully defined warehouse, supplemented by tried-and-tested extensions from LogiPlus. These result from more than 20 years of experience with SAP-based warehouse management software.
Among other things, we provide pre-defined workstation workflows, stationary packing stations, picking stations integrated with conveyor systems, and pre-defined mobile workflows. “Pick, Pack, and Pass” scenarios are included, as are value-added services and cross-docking. A customizable LP warehouse control console for managing and monitoring daily workloads is also part of our LogiPlus package.
In the implementation project, we are building directly on the latest version of LP PoweredEWM. The scope of services includes, among other things, MFS functionality with push channels for communication with a PLC. This significantly reduces the complexity and duration of the project when implementing an SAP EWM system.
