LogiPlus Consulting donates to the Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen to support the homeless
The SAP logistics experts from Ludwigshafen have been helping charitable organisations in the Rhine-Neckar region for many years – and this year is no exception
Ludwigshafen, 6 December 2023 – As a sign of its regional commitment and social responsibility, LogiPlus Consulting is once again skipping Christmas presents for customers and partners this year and instead making a generous donation of 2,500 euros to Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen.
The Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen is an important drop-in centre for around 15-30 homeless people every day. The centre not only offers hot meals but also provides a valuable opportunity for social interaction and social breaks. By providing support with basic errands such as visits to the doctor and promoting joint activities such as baking Christmas biscuits and cooking, the Rohrlachstube creates an important social bond for the people who visit it. It also promotes activities that create a strong community and cohesion in difficult life situations.
LogiPlus Consulting is committed to providing local support and strengthening the community. The decision to support the Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen emphasises the company’s commitment to the region and its awareness of the importance of social institutions that help people. “At LogiPlus, we want to actively support the efforts of regionally based organisations that work tirelessly and personally to help people in need. It is important to us to support local projects that directly benefit people,” adds Christian Speck (Head of Marketing).
In addition to the social aspect, the centre attaches great importance to allowing visitors to take advantage of hygiene measures and exchange clothes if necessary. According to Stefan Veil, he is currently aware of around 30 men and seven women without shelter in Ludwigshafen. However, the number of unreported cases is certainly much higher. The Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen is supported by the city of Ludwigshafen – the building has been made available as a meeting place and the running costs of the building are covered. However, the costs of operation and other support are financed by foundations and donations.
At the moment, sleeping bags are particularly needed, as not all homeless people can be accommodated in the existing overnight accommodation such as the “Sleep Inn”.
The donation of 2,500 euros from LogiPlus Consulting will help Rohrlachstube Ludwigshafen to continue its important work and continue to give people support and hope. The importance of donations for social institutions such as the Rohrlachstube cannot be emphasised often enough.
